Gua sha is a traditional Chinese massage practice that uses a smooth-edged tool to glide gently across the skin.

How to Use

Begin with clean skin and apply a few drops of your favourite Zalina Swiss Organic facial oil, serum or body elixir to create sufficient slip.

For the face, hold the gua sha almost flat against the skin at approximately a 15-degree angle.

Using light, controlled pressure, glide the tool slowly upward and outward, working from the centre of the face toward the hairline.

Follow the natural contours of the:

Neck → Jawline → Cheeks → Eye Area → Brow → Forehead

Repeat each stroke approximately 3–5 times before moving to the next area.

For the body, use longer, controlled strokes over well-lubricated skin, adjusting the pressure to remain comfortable.

Use 2–3 times per week or whenever your skin and body need a restorative ritual.

The Cooling Ritual

For an enhanced de-puffing and refreshing sensation, place your stainless-steel gua sha in the refrigerator for a few minutes before use.
