In a world where the media and Hollywood set the standard for beauty, it can be overwhelming to feel acceptable. Because of those unrealistic expectations, your self-esteem can suffer when it comes to the everyday run.

We live in an era of self-care, self-empowerment, and self-love are talked about like never before, not to mention the impossible standards and body shaming. Being our best self is a beautiful act of resistance against unrealistic or one-size-fits-all standards of beauty.

Before aiming to find your inner beauty, you must understand what it is. The widely-known phrase, “what’s on the inside is what counts,” is an easy way of understanding your inner beauty.

What is it can’t be seen in a person’s external appearance that you find beautiful?

You might find it difficult to recognize those unseen qualities within yourself.. When it comes to building your self-esteem and finding your inner beauty, there are practical ways I used to re-build a more compassionate, caring and loving relationship with myself such as, paying closer attention to the way I groom myself, daily exercise routine, my skin care products applied to my skin and the foods I ate. How I approached these small tasks made a huge impact in the quality of my life.

Who You Are - Find Out The Answer

It might be difficult to discover your inner beauty if you don’t know yourself. The point of not knowing who you are might sound silly, but it is a reality that many of us meet.

If you think about it, you will probably find many questions that you don’t have an answer to.

You need to spend some time self-reflection to uncover your feelings, thoughts, dreams, and opinions. What do you find hope in? What scares you? Locating your answers to these questions allows you to get to know yourself, and by finding out who you are, you can reveal the beautiful things within you. What features of others’ personalities do you find beautiful? Do you see those things within yourself? If so, you have found your inner beauty.

Love Who You Are & Don’t Try To Be Someone Else

You shouldn’t try to be someone else other than yourself. It can be quite easy to fall into another person’s feelings and thoughts, mainly when you spend a lot of time with them.

You might come to like and care about another person’s opinions and interests. However, it is better to understand the difference between supporting the things your loved one likes and is passionate about and feeling eager and passionate about those things yourself.

You need to know that trying to be someone other than who you are for another person’s benefit will only cause issues in the long run. It can be difficult to pretend to be something you’re not for the long term. Doing so will only make you feel disconnected from your real self. Also, It serves to make you unhappy with your life and yourself.

Get Your Priorities Straight & Stick To Them

You have your goals and priorities. Working on the order in which you place your priorities has a lot to do with knowing who you are.

You need to think about the things in your life that gather most of your thoughts and attention. Working on writing a list for those things makes it easier. 

Starting from creating this list, you can begin to decide which items are more important than others.

That will help to give you a sense of purpose in life. Your purpose in life not only allows you to know who you are but can shine some light on your inner beauty because your priorities show what you value. Within those values, you can find self-esteem and define your inner beauty and self-esteem.

Holistic Self Care For Lasting Happiness & Optimal Well-Being

One of the best ways to nurture your inner beauty is to do kind things for yourself.

There is no shortcut to optimal well being; holistic self-care requires that we need to focus on all five aspects of our lives to achieve lasting happiness and optimal well being towards personal fulfillment, transformation and self-realization; one needs to devote time regularly to engage in the renewal of all sides of our lives - physical, emotional, intellectual, social and spiritual.

Which we can briefly write on them down here as:

Physical: It started with listening to your body; getting sufficient sleep, good nutrition, ample exercise, a healthy dose of sunshine and daily meditation

  • Intellectual: maintaining a sense of curiosity and healthy appetite for learning new things.
  • Emotional: letting go of toxic feeling, kindness, compassion, joy, appreciation, forgiveness, gratitude, generosity and inner peace
  • Social: giving support to and accepting support from others, making time for family and friends, contributing to the community and volunteering for a cause you believe in.
  • Spiritually: Living authentically, acting from your deepest truth, connecting to your highest self, knowing that we are all connecting - finding purpose and fulfillment.

There’s nothing wrong with pampering yourself, and you’ll see an instant improvement as soon as you realize that!

Nourish Your Inner Beauty - Feel Your Way To Reveal Magnificence Within!

We all know life is beyond busy with every thread of our being. The responsibilities creating our reasons to separate from our true essence hinder us.

We are mired in work, caring for our family, creating more resources to do what We want to do and live how we want to live. The very nature of our reason for being is based on feeling divine inspiration available for us.

Significant questions of worth and purpose loom when we have checked out from the moments that interconnect our divine inspiration from the life we live!

Life comprises infinite sequences of seemingly small actions like tasting our food, breathing, and a trillion more tiny things happening internally each and every day.

We need to begin to find meaningful feelings to connect us to divine inspiration by really looking in the mirror. Audibly recite our traits and express what we see.

Portray the color of your eyes: brown, blue, sea green, golden and anything else. Mark out the shape of your eyebrows, skin tone, the density of freckles, curve of your lips, lines around your eyes, mouth, and nose; thick or thin hairline and all the possibilities in between. Observe with contentment and compliment. That is your beautiful face!

Please be open to believing in your worth just because you are. Baby steps of self-love join with acceptance of yourself to change your life. Your life isn’t anything that happened to you, or you did wrong. Your life is right now!

Choose to move into this moment where the diversity of your life flourishes. Loving yourself integrates acceptance into your experience. Cultivating acceptance begins with accepting yourself.

Seek Professional Help 

If you find out you cannot deal with your insecurities by yourself, you should definitely seek professional help. Seek out someone who can teach you and help you overcome your insecurities.

Even though many people are ashamed to admit it, the truth is that there is nothing bad or wrong in seeking the help of a professional.

What you certainly need to know is that you are enough; no matter where you are on your journey to accepting and loving yourself, you deserve self-care, self-love, and a shame-free life. You already have your inner beauty, and it’s simply time to let it shine through these above tips.

No outward changes will make you more worthy of love and happiness. You already deserve good things. What does it mean to be pretty on the inside? You get to decide what beautiful on the inside means — and then show the world!
